My beautiful sister Shellbee passed away from breast cancer and We believe she comes to visit us as a magpie. I painted the magpies and I felt her with me.
The artworks are :
'She Rests':
She Rests represents the magpies presence being close, watching over us, resting, staying.
'She Rises':
She rises represents the magpie in motion. She is sending signs, still moving, she is still with us in a different way.
Both pieces are set on pink ( my sisters favourite colour) and each magpie wears a gold crown because to me she will always be my queen.
