The Lovers is a portrait of sacred union between the Ocean and Earth. On the right side rises the Ocean King — His skin glimmers with fish, jelly fish, eagle rays and life forms of the deep. A single golden wing emerges from the side of his face — a symbol of freedom. Behind him glows the radiant sun partially eclipsed by a small moon. His oceanic waves pulling you gently towards the truth beneath the surface.
On the left of the artwork features the Earth Queen — she blooms with wildflowers, flowing rivers and mountain ranges. The night sky stretches behind and in her crown rests a wise owl. A delicate white butterfly rests near its temple. Her own golden wing matches the king’s echoing their divine connection. At her side a cheetah watches intently toward the ocean king.
Together they are the sacred lovers of land and sea, day and night, body and soul.
It is the dance of wholeness meeting wholeness.
